Founded in 1845, the cigar brand Partagas is one of the oldest cigar brands from Cuba. Partagas cigars exhibit impeccable quality with sizes that suit all occasions, offering a range of flavors and aromas depending on the chosen series. The Partagas brand has enjoyed considerable success since its inception.
Partagas was founded in 1840 by Don Jaime Partagas and is thus a very old brand. Currently, the factory produces 58 handmade models, 30 mechanically produced products, and 25 machine-rolled cigars that are finished manually. While the handmade Cuban cigars from the Partagas factory are exceptional, the others are not always of impeccable quality.
Partagas is one of the oldest cigar factories in Havana, as it was in 1845 that Dom Jaime Partagas Ravelos, a Spanish immigrant, established it at Industria 520. Aside from a renovation hiatus between 1987 and 1990, Partagas cigars have always been produced in this location, right in the heart of Havana. Known for having worked on aging and maturation methods for tobacco, Don Jaime succeeded in creating strong and full-bodied blends, establishing his factory as the second most important in Cuba after that of H.Upmann.
After his assassination in 1868, his son José took over the business, before handing it over in 1916 to the Cifuentes family, who also own Ramon Allones, Bolivar, and La Gloria Cubana.
