The cigar brand Fonseca was founded by Don Francisco Fonseca. For a long time, these special Cuban cigars were no longer available. The tobaccos of the Fonseca Cuban cigars come from a particular region in Cuba, the Semi-Vuelta.
Traditionally, Fonseca cigars are wrapped in tissue paper. A specific packaging that allows for easy recognition of the brand's cigars.

Fonseca from Cuba is a cigar brand that produces only five cigars, four of which are handmade. Perfect for novices, these cigars are mild and light. The No. 1 is undoubtedly the lightest of the lonsdales, a cigar whose strength and flavor are perfectly balanced.
Their most distinctive feature is the silk paper in which they are wrapped, allowing them to maintain their smoothness. Created by Don Francisco Fonseca in the 1890s, Fonseca cigars reflect their founder's character—refined and placing great importance on appearances. Each vitola, entirely handmade, is thus enveloped in a sheet of white silk paper, a detail that has become a hallmark, and which is used for the four sizes that make up its classic range.
These are light cigars, constructed from leaves matured in the Vuelta Abajo region, perfect for concluding a light meal. The fifth, however, called No. 4, is a special and unique order; thus, 1,600 boxes of 25 pieces each have been crafted exclusively for the Benelux countries for the attention of “Habanos Specialists.”
